We select our replacement heifers from our herd based on the
performance in the roping arena and their disposition. Any heifers that do
not perform well in the roping arena or that are difficult to handled are culled
from the herd.
Occasionally, we have too many candidates for replacement heifers
and we will place some bred heifers up for sale in the fall.
